Societal class equality at home and abroad will be explored at Lifetree Café on Tuesday, May 16th at 12:45PM.
The program, titled “Class Warfare: The Unending Struggle for Equality,” features filmed interviews with three people who have personally seen and experienced India’s caste system.
“Westerners can change our destiny,” says Melanie Hutchinson, a U.S. born teacher serving in India. “In the caste system, you can’t. What you are born into is what you are. Your caste determines your job, who you marry, what you eat, and even how you dress.”

How to discover your purpose in life will be explored at Lifetree Café on Friday, April 14th at 10:00AM in the Administration Building at Thomas Chase Apartments at 4901 Sunbeam Rd, 32257.
The program, titled “Crafting a Truly Fulfilling Life: Making the Most of Whatever Comes Your Way,” features a filmed interview with Dennis Drake. Drake is the founder of the International Deaf Education Association, a Philippines-
“This work gave me purpose; it gave me life,” says Drake. “I found my life here with this community and these kids. If I look back over the last 34 years, I have no regrets over how I’ve spent my time.”
During the program, participants will have the opportunity to tell about times they’ve felt fulfillment in their own lives.

The State of Marriage Discussed at Lifetree Café
The state of marriage in America will be explored at Lifetree Café at Mary L Singleton Senior Center Thursday, September 17th at 12:45PM
The program—“Is Marriage Obsolete? Why More People Are Saying, ‘I Don’t’”—will examine the declining marriage rate and the underlying causes of the trend.
“With divorces on the rise and people getting married later or not marrying at all, the institution of marriage is coming under fire,” said Lifetree representative Craig Cable. “Some wonder if marriage is an outdated concept and is still needed.”
The program encourages those who attend to share their views of marriage.

Where Is God When Things Go Wrong?
How to find peace in the midst of unexpected tragedy will be explored at Lifetree Café on Thursday, August 20th at 12:45PM
The program, titled "When Everything Goes Wrong, Where Is God?" includes a filmed interview with Denise Lauerman, a woman who coped with the death of two children and her husband. In the midst of sadness and brokenness, Lauerman says she feels peace.
"I've stood on the side of mountains, screamed, and thrown rocks," she said. "I've had those conversations with God, and sometimes it's just thinking and not prayer. I know he hears me, and I get answers."
